How to Avoid Losing Your Things when TravellingGoing on a trip with the whole family can be quite chaotic with a lot of luggage and kids in tow. Baggage mix-ups or losing the favourite teddy bear of your youngest child can create worst case scenarios at the airport. With proper planning and packing, you can avoid these incidents with ease. One of the tricks is to label your belongings before you pack. The best way to do this with efficiency is to get your whole family involved. There are so many options on how to name your luggage and important valuables. Your options include permanent markers, stickers, bag tags, and labelling machines to name a few. Before using any of these, identify first what you are going to label to make sure they will not rub off, peel, or wash off. Let your children design their own labels and let them identify what are the important things they want to tag, such as their portable video game gadget or their comfort blanket. When you are labelling your baggage, make sure that your tag is covered in plastic and that your name, contact number, and home address are clearly printed on the label. Inside your suitcase, stick on another tag with your complete contact details. Do this also with your family's luggage and valuables. If, in any case, you lose your belongings, this will make it easier for the finder to send it to you. It is also advisable for you to make a list of the contents of each bag so you can claim your lost baggage faster. |
